Home, Birthday and Cars!

Well I made it home from uni, by some miracle I survived the second year with its many events and thanks go to all who have been their for me this year!

Being home is strange, everything is the same, yet different, it’s weird! But I am enjoying sleeping in a decent bed and having a CLEAN bathroom!

I had a great birthday, was quiet, but nice to spend time at home. I had some great birthday presents, a tom-tom for my new car (see below), chocolates, a white gold necklace and some other bits and bobs!

I finally decided on a car! Please let me introduce my very cute blue Ford KA =) I’ve spent the last 7 days trying to learn how to drive it! Its harder than i remember to drive, having not driven for over twelve months, but i’m slowly getting back into the driving seat!

My next challenge is to master the Wolverhampton ring road, so i can get to work, when i start on the 1st July.

The power of Facebook as a commercial tool

Ok the title of this post may sound like a future essay title, some poor students might get set in the future… but let me explain…

Well we all know Facebook is addictive as a social networking tool, but today I unleashed it’s power as a tool for local marketing and selling.

After some deliberation I decided to sell my May Ball ticket, little did I believe that I would have sold it within 15 minutes of putting it on Facebook!
I put a post, just testing the water in a group about the Mayball, not a specific group I had made, just a post in one of those annoying large groups.
After 15 mins of what I can only describe as E-bay style mad bidding occurring the ticket was sold with a profit of 75%!!!!

I think Alan Sugar would be proud, having watched the fiasco of last nights Apprentice on BBC1. Does anyone else think it has become like Big Brother for Business grads and Oxford Toffs?

Being ill is soooo annoying!

Being ill at uni has to be the worst thing ever!

Apart from having loads of work to do, it also means you can’t go round to your friends for some nice home made food, which you have been looking forward too all week.

Plus the major disadvantage that you have not been able to go out for a drink now for over 3 weeks! And i call myself a student!

So grrrrrr!

Hello world!

My first ever post!! woo!

Don’t know if I will get into this whole blogging thing, but if anyone does end up reading this stuff, leave a message!
